I have, and I warn anyone who reads this, the first book a child called it will really hit hard.

Yes, it will. The A Privelage of Youth is excellent.

"A Child Called It" was a bit too much for me. I can handle almost anything in books, but that was just ... ugh. My parents both read it as well, and they've also read the second one, but that first was it for me.

Well, try the fourth one. The Privelage of Youth. It's excellent.

I read all the books except the Privelege of Youth. The first book was so sad I could hardly bear it. But Dave is an example of someone who didn't just play the role of victim. He overcame his obstacles to help others. That is a great role model for people all over.

I've only listened to the first and second books on cassette. If someone could please put up the entire listing of the books in chronological order, that would be greatly appreciated.

I READ THE FIRST ONE, SORTA. BUT IT WAS TOO SAD, I COULD NOT FINISH IT.

I believe in order, the books are, A Child Called It, The Lost Boy, and a Man Named Dave. We read the first one for a Social Work class I took in college. It was sad, no question. I totally cried. However, the way I view that is, if he could live it and survive it, then the least I can do is sit in my comfortable living room or bedroom and read a book about it. Yes, it pulls at my heart, but how much more so to actually live it.

Wait, who's the author? It sounds good.
